Pre-K at Coe Child Care
Coe Pre-K is for children ages four and five who will be entering Kindergarten the following year.
Registration is now closed for the 2012-2013 school year. The class is full, but we are accepting your information for our wait list.
Our Program... Currently full 2011-2012 school year and 2012-2013 school year.
Coe Pre-K is a full school day program created to help support the growth and development of children during their year before kindergarten. We offer a variety of academic and fun activities designed to encourage positive social development and good learning habits. Our cheerful classroom at Coe School and qualified staff work to enrich your child with a great location and individual attention. Children enrolled in Pre-K enjoy learning new things, all in a fun and comfortable environment.
Activities are planned each week which introduce language, communication and literacy skills, beginning math concepts and science. With plenty of outside time, your child is able to play and make new friends. Frequent field trips into the community are available each month. Because instruction follows a flow day by day, this is offered five days a week. Friday is reserved for reviewing the week and for optional activities. Program hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. Our Pre-K program follows the school year calendar (when Coe School is closed, Pre-K is also closed).

Children will need to be four years old before August 31 of the school year to qualify. Cost is $465.00 per month. While all spots are currently full for 2011-2012 and the 2012-2013 school year, a wait list has been created for families who express an interest in full day Pre-K for next year. Enroll your child by completing the registration forms and returning them to Coe Child Care with your deposit. Click the registration link above to access enrollment forms. A wait list is created after all eighteen spots are full.
More Information...
Research on educational development has begun to shift focus to the preschool years, in particular, the year prior to Kindergarten. A tool we often turn to is the Washington State Benchmarks for Learning which we have used to inform instruction and tailor each child's individual learning goals during the year. www.del.wa.gov/development/kindergarten/Default.aspx
